First Product Assessment at BelHard Testing Laboratory Completed

BelHard Testing laboratory of information protection tools and systems has completed the final testing cycle of the software system DeviceLock 6.4 in order to check its compliance with the safety requirements. Based on the test reports of our laboratory, the Operational and Analytical Center under the President of the Republic of Belarus issued the expert opinion №192 as of April 9, 2010 of the state expertise to the company ‘Network Protection’.
The software system DeviceLock 6.4 is a means of controlling and logging the access of users to input-output devices and ports. It allows controlling the whole range of potentially dangerous devices: USB-ports, disk drives, CD/DVD-drives, as well as FireWire, infrared, parallel and serial ports, Wi-Fi- and Bluetooth-adaptors, tape drives, any internal and external removable storage devices and hard drives. The system also carries out a detailed audit of users’ activities with devices and data.
The system is manufactured by the Russian company Smart Line. The system DeviceLock 6.4 has already been installed on more than 4,000 computers in 90 countries of the world. Now the given software has legal permission for distributing and using in the Republic of Belarus and so far it is the only product with the similar functional options which has passed the state expertise.
