Memorandum of Cooperation with the QAI Global Institute
On October 7, 2011 in Minsk the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the QAI Global Institute (Orlando, USA) signed the Protocol of Intentions.
According to the Protocol, the QAI and the Ministry of Education combine the efforts for developing IT skills in the Republic of Belarus and increasing the potential of this sphere. These initiatives should not only expand the borders of the IT sector and its impact on the economic development but also they should be aimed at increasing the competitiveness of the exported IT services through implementing modern practices, issuing certificates and using the best methods for increasing the performance and quality of IT specialists. The memorandum was signed by the head of the QAI Global Institute Tom Ticknor and the 1st deputy minister of education of the Republic of Belarus Zhuk Alexander.
According to this agreement, various activities are planned, including joint seminars, staff development by means of evaluating their competence, training and certifying specialists in such spheres as software development, software development management, quality assurance, testing, business analysis, project management, etc.
After signing the Protocol of Intentions, the working groups from QAI and the Ministry of Education have to carry out a set of negotiations for defining and systematizing priority undertakings and initiatives which will be executed.
The QAI Global Institute is one of the biggest and most prestigious educational networks in the world, existing since 1980 and specializing in express courses in training IT specialists. The QAI educational programs comprise the whole range of IT professions and differ in the concentration of the target information, short training periods (1-3 weeks), and high dynamics of updating the content of the courses.
Training in more than 70 programs is carried out in 30 countries. More than 200,000 HP specialists have completed one or several QAI training programs – IT management, business analysis, quality management, process engineering and testing.
Since 2009 BelHard has been an authorized partner of the QAI Global Institute in Belarus. BelHard management is sure that at first, before implementing the world’s practices in training IT specialists in Belarus, it is necessary to pay special attention to training tutors and teachers.
