Increasing popularity of corporate mobile applications

In March 2012 Symantec corporation revealed the results of its researches that clearly proved the turning point in using mobile technologies. The survey held during the research showed the fast growth of popularity of mobile applications within corporate environment. More than a half of respondents stated that they had at least thought of a possibility to create corporate mobile service. However, despite such penetration of technologies, almost half of respondents noted that they consider such introduction of mobile solutions as quite difficult.
The research of State of Mobility helped reveal the problems that organizations face while starting using mobile technologies. During the survey there were received different descriptions of using mobile devices and applications from more than 6000 organizations.
The conclusion is evident: mobile devices became extremely important for any business. The significant growth of the sphere of mobile technologies use is a result of recognition of profitability oР° such approach in business. The important factor is also correspondence of expectations to the reality. In most cases expectations of new technologies exceed the final result. However for modern smartphones and tablets only 70% productivity increase was expected while in reality it was 77%. What is more about 60% of respondents already use mobile devices and applications that is also an important index of the fact that mobile technologies become mass in business environment.
Mobile technologies provide incredible possibilities to the organizations of any size. However to receive the maximum effect of using them it’s necessary to clearly plan the introduction of important for business applications that will be used everywhere within organization. What is more it’s important to assess abilities of mobile technologies use as well as estimate the risks and threats to fight with. After making all necessary preparations and learning all the sides of using mobile technologies it becomes possible to move the business to the next level of development.
