IT outsourcing and security

Quite often it is possible to hear that IT outsourcing and security are mutually exclusive terms. And the cost of IT services doesn’t matter. Of course the situation when company uses outer executors to implement a part of work has its features but they are easy to understand.
First of all in this case customers are unable to control the processes performed inside executor’s company. The only thing left is to require execution of obligations due to the agreement. Such position has both advantages and disadvantages.
For example customer doesn’t have to control processes provided for outsourcing, in this case it’s the full responsibility of professionals to take care about solving all possible tasks. If something goes wrong executors are responsible for refund. But it often happens that it’s quite difficult to prove the presence of those losses especially if they are connected with lost income. However, IT outsourcing companies give certain guarantees anyway.
That’s why it is very important and actual to provide information security. The costs are more effective if the interaction with outsourcers is correctly arranged. But it is important to think about everything concerning security in advance. So it would be possible to find more or less appropriate balance between system’s components.
